Biology

  • IDD’s team has experience with developing assays across a range of targets. We have developed primary screening assays to identify enzyme inhibitors and receptor agonists and antagonists. We develop cell-based assays to demonstrate the effects of compounds in primary cells and cell lines using transient and stable transfections. A few of the targets are listed below:

    • Kinases
    • GPCRs
    • Metalloproteinases (osteoarthritis)
    • Transporters, GLUT4 (diabetes)
    • Miscellaneous enzymes
    • Phosphotyrosine phosphatase 1b (diabetes and insulin resistance, obesity)
    • Aldose eductases inhibitors (diabetic complications)
    • Nonenzymatic glycation (diabetic complications)
    • Receptor for advanced glycated endproducts/methlyglyoxal advanced glycated endproducts
      (RAGE/MARGE) (diabetic complications)
    • eNOS pathway (cardiovascular disease)
